Case Study: Simplify Grant Compliance
By Vicki Amendola, ECM Connection magazine
The University of Colorado Denver (UCD) recently received a CTSA (clinical translational science award), a grant funded by the NIH (National Institute of Health). The grant established the CCTSI (Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute) to support the implementation of a large-scale organizational change initiative — specifically, to transform the manner in which research is conducted and applied to clinical and community-based practice at major biomedical institutions. The Institute encompasses 12 core functions or functional components involving nearly as many affiliated organizations, including The Children's Hospital, Denver Health and Hospitals, Kaiser Permanente, and National Jewish Health.
