While not a vertical industry like healthcare, government, legal, or finance, AP and AR (accounts receivable) departments are similar in the fact that they face a set of document challenges unique to their very specialized environment. For this reason, several document and content management companies have developed turnkey solutions specifically designed and marketed to this business unit. ECM Connection recently had the opportunity to interview two of these vendors to gain their insights on the need for ECM in AP/AR and the value technology systems can bring to these environments.
