From The Editor: The (Potentially) All-Encompassing Acronym

Yet another year has flown by, as affirmed by the continual changing of the seasons. Just like the seasons in every year, the "field" of ECM remains in constant flux. Some parts warm up — think about the ongoing buzz surrounding things like SharePoint 2010 or the growth of cloud/SaaS solutions — while other parts cool off, and still other aspects stay fairly constant. Despite the similarities, a passing year is easy to define by its seasons. The same is not true when trying to define ECM.
