An intelligent, digitally-based solution for mailrooms
OPEX Corporation announced recently their participation in Ricoh USA, Inc.’s new RICOH Intelligent Delivery Services offering, a complete digital “mailroom to recipient” platform designed to address the challenging questions that have faced digital mailroom concepts in the enterprise for the last decade.
For more than 40 years, OPEX has been a leader in mailroom automation. The RICOH Intelligent Delivery Services offering, compatible with OPEX hardware, “unifies the inbox,” even for remote, mobile and hotdesking workers. Mail is digitized, notifying recipients and enabling them to reject unwanted mail or choose to receive it, physically and/or electronically. The patent-pending RICOH Intelligent Delivery Services empowers businesses (who frequently bundle Ricoh’s solution with OPEX hardware) to reduce costs from delivering undesired mail, measure the impact of return mail, and boost speed and efficiency by funneling relevant mail pieces to employees in their preferred format.
At launch, RICOH Intelligent Delivery Services uses the OPEX Mail Matrix, the intelligent mixed mail sorter, which offers the ability to sort and track items as they enter the mailroom. RICOH Intelligent Delivery Services enables e-mail notification of mail or small parcels’ receipt and provides each recipient with customized delivery options.
When used as part of RICOH Intelligent Delivery Services, OPEX Falcon scanners digitally capture each mail piece, as well as the contents, of a wide variety of incoming mail in a single pass. This new Intelligent mailroom service can drastically reduce the distribution of junk mail and increase the accurate and timely delivery of important post, both digitally and physically across the corporation.
