Investment Firm Boosts Efficiency with New Enterprise Content Management Solution

KnowledgeLake, Inc., the leading provider of document imaging, capture, and workflow solutions for the Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform, announced that its customer, Glenmede, has been named a finalist for the AIIM Best Practices Award. AIIM is a community that provides education, research, and best practices to help organizations find, control, and optimize their information.

AIIM's Carl E. Nelson Best Practices Award was established to recognize excellence in information management. According to AIIM, this award provides an exciting and unique way for end user organizations to share their Information Management project implementations with their peers and for solution providers to showcase the ROI that their solutions can achieve.

The honor in the "Medium Company" category was given to Glenmede, a private investment and wealth management firm based in Philadelphia with more than $19.8B under management.

Glenmede wanted to upgrade its enterprise content management system to create greater operational efficiencies and help employees work more effectively. To do this, they deployed a KnowledgeLake solution and Microsoft SharePoint. The solution helps Glenmede contain costs while allowing employees to search through and view documents easily and quickly.

"We felt that using Microsoft SharePoint for our content management system would give us plenty of return on investment, and its integration with other Microsoft products would help us consolidate technologies," said Jerry Littenberg, Vice President of Information Systems, Glenmede. "But the content management system was not complete because we did not have a way to get documents into it and we needed to migrate documents from our legacy system. We chose the KnowledgeLake solution to fill these gaps to meet our overall requirements."

"This award was made possible by the close partnership between Glenmede and KnowledgeLake during the implementation of this solution," stated Ron Cameron, President and co-founder of KnowledgeLake, Inc. "Teamwork is what enables the success of projects like this, giving Glenmede a quick return on investment and a solution in which the organization embraces."

The AIIM Emerging Technology Advisory Group (EmTAG) selected the finalists, and the winners will be announced at the AIIM Awards Celebration on Tuesday, March April 22, 2011 in Washington, DC.
