FileVision Delivers New Enterprise Software For Information And Process Management In Single Solution

FileVision, a global provider of business productivity software, recently announced the immediate availability of FileVision 5, a new software solution that integrates enterprise level document and information management, imaging, workflow and relationship management into a single solution.

A completely re-engineered version of the company's flagship FileVision software solution, the new software enables enterprises to increase productivity by managing business processes and information within a single, centralized system. For the first time, it is now possible for individual departments to eliminate the need for in-house solutions that disparately store data and are expensive and time-intensive to maintain.

"FileVision 5's capabilities outpace competitive products in productivity, scalability, quick implementation and cost-effectiveness," said Tim Martin, president of BankSys Management, Inc. (BMI) and FileVision Professional Partner. "It not only addresses the key concerns of a business investing in technology at a time of economic downturn, but also enables the business to become more profitable by increasing productivity."

According to FileVision President Dr. Raj Bhole, FileVision 5 provides first-of-a-kind capabilities that give customers and resellers the highest level of flexibility and customization, with functionality enterprises would be hard pressed to find in traditional electronic document management solutions.

"Where previous generations of our solution complemented other enterprise systems as a traditional document management solution, FileVision 5 is a comprehensive system, allowing companies to manage all of the applications necessary to run a business," said Bhole. "An enterprise can use FileVision as its overall information and process management system, and customize the solution to also run individual applications in other departments such as customer service, accounting, supply chain and HR."

New Features: Custom Behaviors, E-forms, Web Client, Document Capture

In addition to the solution's versatile relationship management, integrated database, enterprise level document management, electronic forms capabilities and workflow, FileVision 5 now includes Custom Behaviors, E-forms, a new Web Client, and Document Capture.

The new Custom Behaviors' advanced macro language allows the FileVision system to be easily configured for complex business rule automation while eliminating lengthy user processes. E-forms can now be filled out, viewed and printed from the FileVision Web Client. Additionally, documents can be scanned and filed in the FileVision system using the Web Client, allowing users to scan documents from any computer connected to the Internet and equipped with a scanner.

The new Document Capture capability allows users to highlight text in a scanned document for quick indexing, or to use the new clipboard feature to quickly reuse text from scanned documents. Also, data can be captured easily from predefined templates of common forms that have been scanned in bulk, resulting in significant time savings.

The new features also empower technology integrators and consultants to offer customized solutions right off the shelf, without the need for customized codes and additional work on their part.
