Executive Opinion: Document-Driven BPA

Regardless of the industry or internal department (e.g. manufacturing, judicial, legislative, financial, medical, etc.), transactional business processes are driven by documents. In daily commerce, examples abound of documents initiating a business workflow. Writing a check is clearly a paperbased, transaction-oriented process, which triggers any number of actions — debit from one account, credit to another, and receipt of goods or services.
