AnyDoc EXCHANGEit Supports 5010 EDI Transactions For Health Care

AnyDoc Software, a leading provider of automated document, data capture, and classification solutions, recently announced support for 5010 EDI transactions via AnyDoc EXCHANGEit version 5.1.9 to support the latest health care standards. AnyDoc now supports both the 4010 and 5010 standards.

EXCHANGEit, a data transfer tool for moving data files and documents into back-end applications, is ideal for use with the new standards for electronic health care transactions, including claims (EDI 837) and remittances (EDI 835) that are at the core of daily operations for many entities. Through a simple drag-and-drop interface, EXCHANGEit bridges incompatible formats, allowing accurate data to enter back-end systems quickly and easily for transaction uniformity and streamlined reimbursement. And moving from the 4010 standard to the 5010 standard is simple.

Many health care institutions including providers, payers, service bureaus, third-party billers, and software vendors must be compliant for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12 version 5010 transactions by January 1, 2012. These changes aim to improve health care quality and lower costs, and to create an inclusive electronic data exchange environment for the expanding ICD-10-CM (Clinical Modification) and PCS (Procedural Coding System) code sets.

EXCHANGEit allows for a seamless transition into this more efficient health care transaction process by continuing to support both the 4010 and 5010 standards during the transitional 2011 calendar year for EDI 837 and 835 transaction sets.
