In contrast with traditional OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and ICR (Intelligent
Character Recognition) technologies that can only process printed characters
or block manuscript, the IWR (Intelligent Word Recognition) technology developed
by A2iA reads freeform cursive handwriting by recognizing entire words and strings
of words.
Regardless of the type of document (structured, semi-structured, unstructured) or writing type (machine printed, cursive handwriting), the A2iA toolkits are able to read any type of writing, locate the information and releases it in digital format.
