The latest enhancements to OnPointe offer organizations an information governance (IG) platform that goes beyond the traditional and legacy enterprise content management (ECM) suites, delivering the comprehensive IG protocols, robust security and data lifecycle requirements needed for regulated industries. The updated version of OnPointe will be exhibited this week at the ARMA Conference & Expo in San Diego and IBM Insight in Las Vegas.

The latest version delivers updates to each OnPointe solution, with a focus to:

Transform IG beyond ECM: With the latest update, organizations can better manage their data according to their needs. Going beyond ECM, this version helps to streamline work processes, improve workflow management, ease migration complications and provide self-service control of bulk imports and metadata customization.

Simplify email and file migration: Moving data in a timelier, secure and accurate fashion, this enhancement allows for automation of message migration from archive containers to speed transfer from a legacy system to OnPointe.

Improve user experience: The latest version of OnPointe offers new user-specific access interfaces to ease adoption and incorporate governance in familiar business applications: A governance portal and an end-user add-on for Microsoft Outlook. The governance portal provides a web-based entry point for administrative users to access all permissioned governance functions via a single lightweight client. This added access layer gives governance users a consolidated view of their enterprise content to perform necessary duties. The OnPointe add-in, however, allows end-users to remain in Outlook and easily access, search, forward, restore, download and classify all of their business information controlled in OnPointe. Integration into familiar and constantly used applications reduces context switching, drives adoption and speeds access to information.
