Title companies, banks, attorneys, and other document submitters can now electronically record documents in York County, S.C., through Simplifile, enabling faster, more cost-effective recording.

York, SC (PRWEB) - Title companies, banks, attorneys, and other document submitters can now electronically record documents in York County, S.C., through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service provider, enabling faster, more cost-effective recording.

“Giving customers the option to e-record their documents instead of having to use the mail or drive to the clerk’s office is so more convenient and efficient,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “We’re excited to see another South Carolina recording jurisdiction on board with e-recording and to have them experience all the time and cost-saving benefits it brings to both the county and its recording customers.”

With Simplifile’s web-based service, customers can scan, upload, and submit documents via the Internet, where the Clerk of Court and Register of Deeds receives, reviews, stamps, records and returns the documents back to the submitter electronically in minutes.

Other benefits of e-recording include increased document security, less paper waste, and fewer check-writing expenses, as recording fees and payments are processed electronically through Automated Clearing House.

York County is the sixth county to implement Simplifile’s e-recording service in South Carolina, joining 1,100 other e-recording jurisdictions nationwide that make up Simplifile’s e-recording network.

High-speed Internet access, a computer, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to begin e-recording documents through Simplifile.
