OnBase By Hyland Named App Of The Month For Augmenting Patient Records With Allscripts Sunrise Acute Care™

OnBase by Hyland was selected as the Allscripts App of the Month for December for providing clinicians with access to a more complete patient record.

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) - OnBase by Hyland was selected as the Allscripts App of the Month for December for providing clinicians with access to a more complete patient record. As a member of the Allscripts Developer Program, OnBase works with Allscripts to create a deeper integration with the Sunrise Acute Care electronic health record (EHR). Allscripts Sunrise provides innovative computerized provider order entry (CPOE) and advanced clinical guidance in its comprehensive offering for hospitals and health systems. OnBase, an enterprise content management (ECM) solution, integrates with Sunrise Acute Care to provide simple access to unstructured content stored outside of the EHR, including test results, EKGs, digital photos, insurance cards and more.

At every phase – from scheduling to the patient visit and beyond – staff and clinicians have direct access to the information they need to deliver superior care and service without leaving the EHR. Throughout the continuum of care, OnBase works with Allscripts to create a panoramic view of the patient record, including:

  • Integrated retrieval of unstructured content
  • Physician completion of signatures and missing content
  • Electronic forms to eliminate paper
  • Workflows to facilitate better and more efficient patient care

“We’re excited to be in the Allscripts Developer Program and it’s an honor to have been selected as their app of the month for December,” said Susan DeCathelineau, vice president of healthcare sales and services at Hyland, creator of OnBase. “Our goal is to ensure that OnBase continues to have a certified integration with Allscripts Sunrise Acute Care to enable their users to create more complete patient records and provide the highest quality of care.”

The Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (LHCH), internationally regarded as a leading provider in cardiothoracic services, enhanced their Sunrise EHR with OnBase, providing clinicians and staff with access to patient information outside of the EHR.

“OnBase allowed us to become a virtually paper-free organization,” said Dr. Johan Waktare, consultant cardiologist and clinical lead for electronic medical records at LHCH. “Simply having no paper notes, no more lost notes, having everything at your fingertips wherever you are, being able to review items from your office when someone phones you from the ward, it’s completely changed the way we work.”

For more information about the partnership, register for the App of the Month webinar on Thursday, December 18 at 1 p.m. ET.
