Okfuskee County, Okla., is now accepting electronic land documents submitted through Simplifile’s online service for e-recording, a faster, more cost-effective recording method for the county and its customers.

Okfuskee County OK (PRWEB) - Simplifile, the nation’s largest electronic recording (e-recording) service, is now available in Okfuskee County, providing a faster, more cost-effective document recording option for customers such as title companies, banks, attorneys, and other document submitters.

“We decided to start e-recording to accommodate our out-of-town customers by saving them time and money,” said Okfuskee County Clerk Dianne Flanders. “It also saves taxpayers money on postage and provides quicker service.”

The Okfuskee County Clerk’s office is currently accepting all document types for e-recording through Simplifile and is the 42nd county to offer e-recording in Oklahoma.

“We’re excited to offer e-recording in Okfuskee County and meet the needs of our customers with this new technology. We wanted to offer a secure, convenient option for customers to submit their documents, and Simplifile has helped us achieve that,” said Okfuskee County Treasurer Renee Alcorn.

Simplifile’s e-recording service makes it possible for document submitters to scan, upload, and submit documents such as deeds and mortgages to the clerk’s office where they are received, reviewed, stamped, recorded and returned back to the submitter in minutes. With traditional, paper recording by mail, this process can take several days or even weeks.

“Simplifile has a knowledgeable staff and a user-friendly site,” Flanders added.

Payments and recording fees can also be processed electronically through Simplifile via Automated Clearing House (ACH), eliminating check-writing expenses and expediting the overall recording process.

High-speed Internet access, a computer, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to be able to start e-recording with Simplifile.
