M-Files Announces Major Updates To Its Enterprise Information Management Mobile Apps

M-Files Mobile App Users Can Create New Documents and Objects and Scan Files On the Go

M-Files Corporation, a provider of solutions that dramatically improve how enterprises manage documents and other information, recently announced several new enhancements to its mobile apps that are immediately available for free for iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Phone devices. The updated apps enable users to quickly and securely create new documents and objects while on the go from their smart phones and tablets.

With the ability to create new documents and objects and scan files via the M-Files mobile apps, users have the power, precision and control they require to create, manage and harness information on the go. For example, users can take a picture of a receipt from their smart phone and submit it for approval while travelling. M-Files mobile app users can also create all kinds of non-document objects from their smart phones and tablets, such as new accounts, contacts, activities, tasks, failure notifications and more.

"Today's workforce is more dispersed and mobile than ever, and professionals demand access to business critical information at any time and from anywhere," said Mika Javanainen, senior director of product management at M-Files Corporation. "We're investing heavily in our mobile apps to help our customers enhance productivity and collaboration, ensure compliance and drive smarter decision making no matter where they are and what devices they are using."

Additional New Features and Capabilities in the M-Files Mobile Apps

  • Edit content: With the ability to edit document and object metadata and add photos to existing objects, mobile app users can add additional information to assignments, change a workflow status and more.
  • Access all views: All dynamic views, including custom views, are now accessible from mobile devices.
• More sharing options: Mobile app users now have more options for sharing content, even with non-M-Files users. Users can send links to documents from the M-Files mobile app or email files from the app as regular attachments.
