Marex Group Inc., developers of the popular FileBound Enterprise Content Management software suite, today announced the release of a direct integration with the Fujitsu fi-6000NS Network Scanner. The Fujitsu fi-6000NS Network Scanner is the first scanner to combine the intuitive, easy installation process of a desktop scanner with the productivity of a network scanner.

Together, Fujitsu and Marex provide the easiest possible deployment of a complete content management solution. The FileBound onboard capture integration allows users to control all the document scanning and indexing processes directly from the scanner panel. Users need only to load their documents into the scanner, select where within FileBound they want to store them, enter the index information, scan the documents and automatically save them into a local or remote FileBound system. The FileBound integrated capture software for the fi-6000NS provides a complete, out-of-the-box content management solution without any additional hardware or software requirements.

"Ease-of-use and simplicity was certainly a focus for this integration," said Rex Lamb, president, Marex Group. "Together, Fujitsu and Marex provide the easiest possible deployment of a complete content management solution."

While the FileBound and Fujitsu integration provides simplicity, the unique features within the Fujitsu fi-6000NS offers users advanced options for document imaging, including:

  • Small footprint with built in US 101 Keyboard and large touch screen display (8.4 in, XGA).
  • 50-page automatic document feeder with ultrasonic double-feed detection to ensure that no documents are lost.
  • Automatic image quality adjustment, automatic color detection, image deskew, automatic paper size detection and blank page detection and removal.
  • Ability to preview scanned documents prior to archival with options to zoom in/out, rotate, delete and split pages.

"The Fujitsu fi-6000NS Network Scanner was designed with the simplicity of our desktop scanners in mind, while also considering the advance uses and applications required in a network scanner," said Doug Rudolph, vice president, product management and business development, Imaging Products Group. "This integration with FileBound helps to further penetrate various scanning applications with its simple deployment, filing, indexing and scanning processes."
