New Windsor NY, – DocuWare, a global leader of document management solutions, announces the release of DocuWare 6, their latest version.  As a standard feature, DocuWare 6 provides the full functionality of its software as a web-based solution. Numerous add-on modules have also been announced including its new Intelligent Indexing Service. This innovative service revolutionizes indexing in the document management market. Employing crowd learning, the new module makes electronic storage much faster than manual archiving.

Intelligent Indexing Service - the Revolution

The top highlight of the new version is its Intelligent Indexing Service, a revolution for paper filing. Without complicated configurations, this Internet service learns independently when each document is stored, using this knowledge to automate future indexing. This application is well-suited for companies handling a smaller volume of documents of varying types.

Intelligent Indexing Service is simple: when first capturing a document, users take the new one-click indexing feature to click on the company name, date, and any other important indexing terms in the document. A document type is selected from a list provided. Intelligent Indexing learns from the user: when similar documents are scanned from the same company, indexing criteria are applied automatically. Documents are stored in seconds – all grouped by document type and sorted by date. Filling in fields manually is no longer necessary; entries are simply confirmed with a click.

The newest aspect is crowd learning: Intelligent Indexing is a web-based service that gathers information from the primary user as well as others using the service.  This enables gradual gathering of intelligence in order to automatically capture and index documents correctly, beginning with the first click.

The Intelligent Indexing Service and the new one-click indexing feature are both available to users of an in-house DocuWare system as well as those using the company’s cloud solution, DocuWare Online.

New Modules - New Possibilities

DocuWare 6 was also enhanced with several modules that make daily workflows easier. These include DocuWare Import, DocuWare CONNECT to Mail, DocuWare Barcode & Forms, DocuWare Request, and DocuWare Workflow Manager, which includes a special graphic workflow designer.

DocuWare's President, Jürgen Biffar, comments on the new product version: "We've built in many improvements- large and small- in our products. We are especially proud of the Intelligent Indexing Service, for which DocuWare has registered for a patent. It’s finally possible to store documents much more quickly,  and  now it is easier than using a paper filing system, even for smaller amounts of documents."
