Custer County Register Of Deeds Begins E-Recording With Simplifile

Simplifile

Custer County, Neb., is now electronically recording documents through Simplifile, providing customers with a faster, more convenient way to submit land records and other documents for recording online.

Custer County, Neb (PRWEB) - Custer County has adopted electronic recording (e-recording) of land documents and records through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, providing a faster, more convenient recording option for customers online.

Instead of having to submit documents such as land records by mail or driving to the register of deeds’ office, customers including title companies, banks, and attorneys will have the ability to scan, upload, and submit documents online using Simplifile’s web-based service.

“Custer County Register of Deeds decided to use e-recording as it is one more step we can take to modernize our processes that affect our customers,” said Register of Deeds Connie Carroll. “Technology is here and we want to be part of that progression, offering the ease and quickness of filing documents.”

Once the documents have been submitted via Simplifile, the county is able to receive, review, stamp, record, and return them back to the submitter electronically in minutes, saving time and money on mailing expenses.

Recording fees and payments can also be processed securely through Simplifile, eliminating check-writing expenses and reducing payment errors.

Custer County joins 73 other Nebraska e-recording counties that have implemented Simplifile’s service, in addition to more than 1,235 recording jurisdictions that e-record with Simplifile nationwide.

High-speed Internet access, a PC, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to begin e-recording with Simplifile.
