E-recording in Cherokee County, Kan., is now available through Simplifile, providing recording customers with a faster, more convenient recording option online.

Cherokee County, KS (PRWEB) - Cherokee County has joined Simplifile’s electronic recording (e-recording) network, giving customers the ability to submit documents for recording online using Simplifile secure, web-based service.

Now that the Cherokee County register of deeds accepts e-recordings, customers such as title companies, attorneys, lien filers, banks and others organizations no longer have to send documents by mail or travel to the courthouse to record documents in person.

“Cherokee County is our 29th Kansas county to offer e-recording, and we are thrilled to see how much of a difference it makes for the county and their document submitters,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile.

High-speed Internet access, a computer, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to be able to e-record with Simplifile. After scanning and uploading a document for submission, customers simply send the document to the county where it is received, reviewed, stamped, recorded and returned in minutes.

If a document needs to be rejected for any reason, the county can immediately send the document back through Simplifile with the rejection reason, and the customer can quickly correct and resubmit the document without delay.

Other benefits of e-recording include increased document security, fewer payment errors, and less overall paper waste.

Cherokee County joins more than 1,075 recording jurisdictions nationwide that have also adopted Simplifile’s e-recording service.
