New release streamlines document workflow automation with many new features.

San Juan Capistrano, CA (PRWEB) - Capture Components, LLC, creators of document capture software for cloud repositories and content management systems, announces the debut of ccScan® 3.0, a major upgrade of the flagship product. Numerous new or improved features accelerate document capture and instant cost savings as well as streamlining office document automation.

According to Monte Jensen, Director of Business Development and Sales, “We have listened to our customers’ and partners’ feedback and have responded with smarter, more productive features: database lookup, zonal OCR, precision data extraction from zones and improved unattended automatic importing. These and more features will speed up business document processing.”

The newly added Database Lookup automates the process of searching a database, spreadsheet or text file to retrieve data to identify or classify documents heading to the cloud. For example: ccScan 3.0 extracts a Purchase Order number from an invoice, finds the pertinent Vendor Code from an Accounts Payable database and stores that invoice in its own Vendor/PO folder in the cloud. This advantage eliminates the expensive task of having workers manually search for a PO number, type that information into a folder, and then wait to upload that single invoice (one of thousands) to the cloud.

A new Zonal OCR feature enables users to automatically index or identify selected documents. By creating one or more zones by drawing a rectangle or "rubber band" around a particular section of a document image, users can conveniently save and extract all or part of that information. This resource, for example, makes exporting a salesperson's commission reports, which include Agent Region, Agent ID and Report Date stamps for each document (or PDF or Excel spreadsheet), fast and seamless.

Specific data from zones can be reliably extracted to automatically populate cloud objects, fields or metadata. Added field macros let users dynamically name documents, folders, paths and populate objects and fields. And ccScan 3.0 is Microsoft Windows 10 ready for early adopters.

"This latest release of ccScan makes an already innovative product even more dynamic and relevant. The seamless integration with Salesforce, Box, SharePoint, Google Drive, Dropbox and other cloud providers offers a simpler user experience and increased business efficiency. Along with our free startup assistance and software maintenance, ccScan continues to be the premier resource of its kind for small businesses or departments of large companies," says Clark Fegraus, Co-Founder and CEO of Capture Components, LLC.
