Many government entities — whether local, state, or federal — consist of several disparate departments or agencies. Oftentimes, these divisions work independently of one another, have their own goals and objectives, and even initiate their own isolated IT projects. This siloed manner of implementing IT systems can often lead to inefficiencies in integration and communication between departments, duplication of efforts, and wasteful spending.
