Document Management: Online Education To Compliment Xplor's Existing International Conference Programming

Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, recently announced Xplor Document University (XDU) Online, an extension of Xplor's existing international conference programs and educational curricula. XDU Online features a combination of classes that were offered at the 2007 XDU conference as well as new offerings in an online setting using common tools including Real or Windows Media Player.

"XDU Online does not replace the traditional Xplor conference experience but augments and expands our educational offerings. Xplor will be offering new classes and courses in Boston at the 2008 AIIM/On Demand Conference and Expo that will not be available online," said Skip Henk, EDP, president and CEO of Xplor. "With changes in technology, business and human behavior, there is a greater need in the industry for education. XDU Online will help fill that need."

With over 30 classes scheduled for 2007, XDU Online offers a unique opportunity to stay abreast of the latest technology and information but with the convenience of learning from an office or home. Each class is one hour and is taught by the same industry professionals from Xplor's conference programs. All that is required is one hour of your time, web access and an audio connection. If users are unable to listen to a presentation at the scheduled date and time, archived versions can listened to anytime afterwards.

To kick off XDU Online, Xplor International is offering special pricing until September 1, 2007 for both members and non-members. For a listing of online courses, instructors and pricing, visit XDU Online at www.xplor.org and click on "XDU Online Conference."

Announced in August of 2006, Xplor's Document University is an ongoing program of technical, executive and professional development programs and products designed to provide members and the electronic document industry with education tools needed to excel in today's professional environment. Xplor has already introduced a variety of educational programs that make use of social media including webinars, and podcasts in addition to their conference programs.

In addition to the educational programs, Xplor Document University and XDU Online also allows industry vendors sponsorship opportunities and to contribute program content. Industry vendors wishing to explore sponsorship opportunities with Xplor should contact Deborah Green at deborahgreen@xplor.org, or by calling (813) 948-3171.
