Content Management: XyEnterprise Experts Share Industry Vision And Innovation At Fall Conferences And Trade Shows
As the 2007 trade show season winds down, executives and industry experts from XyEnterprise, the leading developer of award-winning XML content management and multi-channel delivery solutions, are sharing best practices, thought leadership, and industry expertise with conference attendees from around the globe. As content management evolves from a business and technology perspective, XyEnterprise experts are being featured as panelists and speakers, offering insight about industry trends and best practices gleaned from their customers.
XyEnterprise Principal Technical Project Manager and XML Evangelist, Harvey Greenberg says that the content management industry has seen rapid growth with the introduction of Web 2.0 technologies that have changed the way companies interact with, and deliver content to their customers. Collaboration has become a crucial element of a more effective user experience.
Speaking about "DITA and Collaboration: What Every Author, Editor and Reviewer Needs To Know" at several Fall conferences including DocTrain East 2007 (the 8th Annual Documentation & Training East Conference), Greenberg illustrates how content management needs have grown beyond issues of version control and workflow. Authors, editors, reviewers, and managers must be able to work collaboratively, providing input at the right time, maintaining visibility into the process, and (hopefully) getting the product right the first time. Greenberg will also be demonstrating XyEnterprise's award-winning Contenta DITA solution, named to the "Trend-Setting Product" list by KMWorld Magazine.
Rhonda Wainwright, XyEnterprise Sales Manager, S1000D and IETP/IETM has been presenting "Full-circle XML: From creation to delivery and back again, at shows such as AIA TechPubs and ATA e-Business Forum." Page 1 of 3 XyEnterprise Experts Share Industry Vision and Innovation At Fall Conferences and Trade Shows Wainwright finds that most users understand the benefits of using structured data (SGML/XML) throughout the publishing process. She says it can increase consistency and avoid redundancy during authoring, facilitate automation with controlled review/approval processes, provide a framework for interchange between suppliers, manufacturers, and operators, and enable multi-channel delivery of intelligent data to the information consumer. "There is one last segment of the publishing cycle that has yet to exploit structured data to its fullest - that is closing the loop between the content consumer and the content creator," says Wainwright. ."A full-circle flow of XML improves the information resource over time, and it can also result in significant savings by reducing false pulls and eliminating potentially expensive maintenance errors due to unclear written procedures."
Wainwright will also join XyEnterprise partner, NGRAIN at the DOD Maintenance Symposium in Orlando from November 13-16 to conduct demos of ContentaView – XyEnterprise's interactive, intelligent multimedia delivery software for IETMs and IETPs. She'll also appear with NGRAIN at IITSEC from November 26-28 to co-present in the Theatre Booth, focusing on ContentaView and 3D multimedia.
XyEnterprise's Director of Product Marketing, Jon Parsons will be in Boston for XML 2007 from December 3-5 to speak about "the role of XML in rich content delivery." His presentation addresses how the structure captured in authoring and managing content in XML can be utilized at the time of delivery.
According to Parsons, expectations are rising among content consumers. They now seek interactive interfaces that let them dynamically retrieve content that is appropriate to them, their situation, and the question or problem to be solved. His presentation will focus on the role XML can play in meeting the challenge of dynamic, focused content delivery.
XyEnterprise content management and publishing experts are also demonstrating solutions that reflect the company's history of innovation, responsiveness, and stability. In addition to a host of November shows in Europe, they will be joining two of their partners, Quadralay and Idiom at their respective User Conferences to highlight the integration work the companies are doing to provide more turnkey solutions for their joint customers around the world.
