Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians At BIDMC To Automate AP Processes With ImageNow
Perceptive Software, creator of ImageNow enterprise document management, imaging and workflow software, recently announced that Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) has entered into an agreement to deploy ImageNow in its accounts payable department.
Associated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, HMFP is a professional organization focused on providing the best possible services to more than 800 physicians providing clinical, teaching and research services through the BIDMC facilities and at Harvard University. These services include benefits management, payroll, comprehensive financial and accounting services, compliance training and oversight, business/project development, and revenue cycle analysis and tracking.
Integrated LearnMode technology will enable ImageNow to connect seamlessly with HMFP's host application, Epicor Enterprise. Non-programmatic integration means the ImageNow implementation process will take just weeks rather than months, helping HMFP realize an immediate return on investment.
ImageNow Workflow will simplify invoice processing and the overall Accounts Payable management process by reducing the time from receipt to payment of an invoice, reducing the duplicate entry, and by providing HMFP administrators a complete history of each document from the time it is scanned into ImageNow until it is archived.
Complete ImageNow and Epicor integration will enable users to create reports from Epicor and drill into the documents in ImageNow, allowing financial directors throughout the organization to quickly review financial information without the hassle and costs associated with duplicating and distributing large paper files. For example, checks printed from the Epicor system will be indexed and linked to the relevant invoice in ImageNow, enabling staff members to see when bills have been paid with a single click.
"We chose ImageNow because our users walked out of the demo understanding how the solution would work and feeling confident they could use it," said Marc Cohen, senior financial administrator, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians.
