The Sovren Group Inc., a recruitment software component company, and dtSearch Corp., which specializes in enterprise and developer text retrieval software, announce that VCG, LLC, a leading developer of staffing and recruiting software, has integrated the Sovren Semantic Searching and Matching (SME) technology running on the dtSearch Engine into their new Pointwing recruiting software.

VCG's Pointwing. VCG's Pointwing Smart Match resume search capability, based on the Sovren SME and the embedded dtSearch Engine, goes far beyond simple keyword searching, matching and ranking. Instead it uses sophisticated context-aware semantic matching of profiles between your job orders and candidate profiles.

The Sovren Semantic Matching Engine ("SME") is designed to run on multiple query engine platforms. The SME, in conjunction with the Sovren Résumé/CV Parser and the Sovren Job Order Parser provides the world's most advanced matching capabilities between a source document and candidates. "The SME has the ability to match a job order to a candidate, a candidate to a candidate, a candidate to a job order, and also find similar job orders, all while giving the user the ability to change the weighting of the criteria of the parsed job order to match to the parsed profile to find the exact match they are looking for," remarked Mr. Smith.

dtSearch Engine. dtSearch products can index over a terabyte of data in a single index – as well as create and instantly search an unlimited number of indexes. The software offers over two dozen search options, including Unicode support covering hundreds of international languages. Proprietary file format support provides for highlighting hits in all popular file types. A built-in Spider supports searching of local and remote, public and secure dynamic and static web data, with WYSIWYG hit-highlighted display of web-ready data. The dtSearch Engine API supports .NET, Java, C++, SQL, etc., including native 64-bit Windows/Linux support.
