Snowbound Software, a pioneering leader of document viewing and conversion technology, announced recently that VersaPAC, an industry leader in the provision of Electronic Records Management Systems and distributor of HP TRIM, has chosen VirtualViewer as the viewer for Saffron. Saffron is VersaPAC's zero footprint web client for HP TRIM. By integrating VirtualViewer with Saffron, VersaPAC now offers a solution that allows HP Trim users to access and manage records through a web-based interface for not only Windows but also Macintosh and Linux environments.

VirtualViewer provides the high-speed viewing solution that enables users to quickly view, annotate, and redact virtually any document and image directly in Saffron. Users can easily retrieve, open and collaborate on virtually any type of electronic record in the universal viewer including Word, PDF, TIFF and Excel without downloading or launching the creator application. VirtualViewer's unique Page on Demand technology makes retrieving specific pages within multi-page documents quick and easy. All of the processing is performed on the server so only the requested page(s) is (are) sent to the viewer rather than waiting for the entire document to download or stream to the viewer.

The Saffron and VirtualViewer solution creates an interface that looks and operates the same regardless of the browser or computer used to access the repository.
