BancTec performed a thorough and detailed review of Scan One's expanding document scanning, capture and imaging requirements, as well as its current production capabilities and future needs. Per conversations with the company's executives, BancTec determined that while quality is of utmost importance to the company, continuous speed is even more critical.
Based on this analysis, BancTec recommended a solution centered on its IntelliScan DS6000, which provides a unique combination of intelligent scanning and high-volume production throughput for multi-purpose page scanning applications. The DS6000 features a completely open track design that dramatically improves document throughput and reduces recovery time from paper jams. Capable of scanning documents at 260 pages per minute, the DS6000 enables endto- end document management from image capture through workflow processing to image archival.
For Scan One, the IntelliScan DS6000 significantly improved processing throughput, an essential requirement for the company. According to company president Stan Brewer, Scan One needs to capture 15 million keystrokes and about 250,000 pages per day.
