Kofax Appoints Industry Veteran As Senior Vice President Of Software & Solutions Sales For The Americas
February 26, 2009
Kofax plc, the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions, recently announced the appointment of Steve Johnson as its Senior Vice President of Software & Solutions Sales for the Americas. Johnson will oversee all of the region's customer-facing sales and services functions in alignment with Kofax's hybrid go-to-market model, which supports both direct customer engagements and indirect sales through channel partners. He reports to Alan Kerr, Executive Vice President of Field Operations, and works out of the company's operating headquarters in Irvine, California.
"Steve is a highly accomplished executive and leader with extensive senior sales management experience and proven success in enterprise software and channel sales within markets throughout the Americas," said Kerr. "He also brings a proven track record for transforming organizations to enterprise software sales models and building high performance teams that consistently deliver on aggressive sales goals. We're pleased to have him join the company and know he will be a key force in executing our revenue growth strategies for the region."
Before joining Kofax, Johnson worked at IBM Corporation and FileNet Corporation prior to IBM's acquisition of that company in 2006, where he served as Vice President for Enterprise Content Management Sales and managed more than 130 sales and technical staff for seven business units in the East, Federal and Canada areas. Prior to that position, he was Vice President, Key Accounts for North America with FileNet, leading that group's transformation to an enterprise software sales team. Johnson has also served in senior sales management positions with Open Text Corporation, NextPage, Ascential Software, Informix Software and Oracle Corporation.
"I'm excited to join a strategically-focused company that has strong fundamentals as well as significant prospects to extend its position as the world's leading provider of document capture solutions," said Johnson. "I look forward to shaping a dynamic enterprise software sales team to successfully pursue and advance the company's revenue growth strategies in the Americas and to expand market share throughout the region."
Johnson's appointment is the latest in a series of major initiatives to further enhance Kofax's market position and growth potential. These include adopting Kofax as a single corporate brand and company name, restructuring the corporation around global business functions, realigning and better focusing the company's sales resources and introducing new revenue growth initiatives.
