Comerica Nearly Triples Wholesale Lockbox Productivity Using The OPEX AS3690i

In an effort to provide its wholesale lockbox customers with images of the invoices and checks it processed, Comerica initially invested in several tabletop scanning devices. These scanners got the job done but had a hard time scanning documents of all shapes, sizes, and densities. Because of this, employees often had to make photocopies of documents in order to scan them effectively. This manual work, combined with a complicated document workflow, hindered the productivity of Comerica's Wholesale Lockbox Services Division.
Comerica implemented 14 OPEX AS3690i document scanners in its wholesale lockbox markets. These devices combine mail extraction, high-speed scanning, and data image capture into a single device, streamlining the document workflow process and eliminating the manual labor required to process payments. The scanner also handles paper of all shapes, sizes, and densities, eliminating the need to copy or rescan nonstandard document types.
